Who Are We?

Henry Boger

Henry

Henry began his film career 20 years ago, immediately after graduating Brooks Institute with a Bachelor Degree in Motion Picture.  It was at Brooks that he first became friends with Bob Yari and following film school, the two paired up on MGM’s Mindgames, starring Maxwell Caulfield.  Henry served as a boom operator on the film.  After the completion of the picture, Henry joined Bob as the Vice President of Development for Yari’s company, Persik Productions.  Henry continued working in the sound union for several films including Ivan Reitman’s Dave, starring Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver, and Freddy’s Dead:  A Final Nightmare, part 6 in A Nightmare on Elm Street series.

During this time, Henry also became a professional skydiving instructor and BASE jumper.  His expert skydiving experiences allowed Henry to work as a stunt performer in the film industry.  His skydiving resume includes stunts on television programs including “Touched By an Angel” and “ER” and the film Fly Boys.  His support of BASE-jumping has given him the opportunity to be featured on the Outdoor Life Network and “60 Minutes.”

More recently, Bob Yari has taken the film industry by storm as the head of the independent Yari Film Group, and Henry has rejoined Bob by entering into an independent production deal as a Producer with Yari Film Group. As part of that arrangement, Henry has acted as Producer or Executive Producer on several films over the past few years including Sueño in 2003, starring John Leguizamo, Haven in 2004, starring Orlando Bloom, and Even Money in 2006, which stars Kim Basinger, Danny DeVito, Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta and Kelsey Grammer, and Christmas in Wonderland, starring Patrick Swayze, Chris Kattan and Tim Curry.

In 2007, Henry launched his own film company, Freefall Films, Inc.  Henry serves as President and CEO of Freefall Films, which has a production deal with Yari Film Group.  Henry is currently producing nine films with Yari Film Group and has seven films in pre-production for Freefall Films.

Henry also has a Bachelors Degree in Business and Computers from Florida State University. henry@freefall-films.com

Christie Will

christie

Christie Will grew up in a small ski town in Northern Ontario, Canada. Her father died when she was 10 years old from an undetermined illness, and her mother tragically died four years later. Orphaned by the age of 14, Christie was accepted into Canada's prestigious Trinity College School (boarding school), where she studied and lived for four years. During this time, Christie was a recipient of the Terry Fox Humanitarian award. For University, Christie studied at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, and then later transferred to the College of Charleston in South Carolina. At CofC Christie was a double major, earning a Theatre Performance and Business Arts Management degree, as well as distinctions for leadership in the Arts. While Christie graced stages up and down the east coast in the USA, she simultaneously began documenting life and the stories around her on film. These interests soon pulled her west to Los Angeles. Not only did Christie find success in film and TV as an actress, but she also worked as a model. However, Christie's passion for live performance and the theatre brought her to back to Canada, where she founded Vancouver Canada's first avant-garde black box theatre; The Beaumont Playhouse. As Co-Artistic Director, she created a mission for the theatre to be based on the teachings of Sanford Meisner (Christie was a long time student of Robert Carnegie's 'Playhouse West' in Los Angeles). It was during her time back in the theatre that Christie honed in on her writing and directing for the stage. After finding success and audiences within the theatre scene, Christie soon transposed her efforts into film. She has received distinctions for both her directing and acting and she has worked for varied Hollywood professionals ranging from Peter Berg (Director/ Producer/ Actor) to Paula Abdul. As a new female writer/ director/ producer on the Hollywood scene, Christie's work has been described as 'fresh', and often has some sort of 'social commentary on Hollywood' within it. (ref: TS 2006) Christie lives on the West Coast between Vancouver Canada and Los Angeles. She has produced 'Chris Kattan's Canine Webisode series' for MYSPACE Co-producer for the feature film "Hollywood and Wine" 2008 Associate Producer for "Blonde and Blonder" 2007 Producer for several reality content shows- see imdb.com for a more extensive resume. christie@freefall-films.com

Jonathan Ehlers

Jonathan was born into the world of film. Literally. The night he was born, his father rushed to the delivery room from the set of a horror film, still in monster makeup. That film went on to be a cult slasher favorite of the early 80's, and by the time Jonathan reached his teens, he was making his own movies with his friends. By the time he finished high school, Jonathan's English teacher had altered her curriculum to allow for homework assignments to be turned in as short films.

His film work continued as he assisted on a feature that was shot at his uncle's farm in rural New York. Jonathan found stopping traffic on a highway and running from wild boars to be quite exhilarating.  Luckily he had his guitar with him on the shoot and was later invited by the director to assist in composing a score for the film. Before long, Jonathan developed a uniquely creative relationship with the post-production house in New York City where that score was recorded. The place became a second home for him and he eventually worked his way up to being a staff producer, trusted with many high profile clients.

Because of his love for being behind the camera, Jonathan has since worked as a videographer for a variety of clients from General Motors to Wyclef Jean.  He shot and directed four music videos and has run the festival circuit with his own short films.  Before he left hometown NYC, he studied acting at Carnegie Hall with Robert X. Modica to better prepare himself for being an actor's director.

Jonathan landed in Los Angeles in the summer of 2007 to live out the next chapter of his life and immerse himself in film.  He has found a home with Freefall Films and is committed to the collective vision of an extraordinary new production company. jonathan@freefall-films.com

Mishan started her creative adventures in middle and high school, designing sets for theater.  She made a detour after college and graduated from medical school thinking she will be some kind of doctor without borders. But her love of films drew her back, and she began working on independent films in San Francisco.  In between film projects and working a day job as an interior designer, she has filmed her own documentary short films, focusing on her interest in social and international humanitarian topics. She loves a really good story, and her path has led her toward writing and working in narrative film development and production.  mishan@freefall-films.com
